Matthew “Matt” Aaron Clinton, 54 of York, passed away on July 2, according to his obituary. "Details of his death are unknown, but at this time, we know that he passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Columbia," his ex-wife Jane Calcina-Clinton wrote on a GoFundMe launched to help their two sons.
Matt attended West York High School and York VoTech, going on to become a master carpenter, according to his obituary. "His brilliance and artistic abilities truly shone through in his work where he brought creativity and magic to each of his projects like the Escape Games Live in York," as stated in his obituary. Daily Voice has reached out to Escape Games Live York for additional comment on his sudden passing.
Matt was known for his kindness, genuine giving ways, and sense of humor, according to his obituary.
After battling addiction, Matt became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous who "loved to [analyze], reflect, and discuss them with others and was very fond of his mentor and church pastor, Pastor John Baker from Kinderhook Evangelical Church in Columbia," as stated in his obituary.
He was extremely proud of his sons who survive him along with his mom, brothers, nieces and nephews, additional extended family, friends, and his ex-wife and former in-laws, as detailed in his obituary.
A Celebration of Life of his life will be held in the Perch Pavilion at William H. Kain Park located at 274 Hess Farm Rd, York on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 5 p.m., as detailed in his obituary.
